Swedish cinematographer Fredrik Olsson is a dedicated filmmaker who rather speaks through images than words. His films that stretch from Mexican feature to obscure Norwegian music videos has been awarded internationally on numerous festivals. Author of a feature movie - “Maquinaria Panamericana” (dir. Joaquin Del Paso) and several short movies, i.e. “Class trip”, “Gorzko, gorzko”, “Riktig Mycket”, “Make a wish”, “Siamese”, “The Ballad of Beatrice”.
Starting out editing his own shorts, he moved on to online and post-production work on major features, while juggling both art and film schools as well as working as a focus puller.
Since graduating the acclaimed Lodz Film School (PWSFTiTV) and joining the Swedish Society of Cinematographers, Fredrik’s been working all genre, with lots of experience shooting on film stock as well as digital formats. Passionate about simplistic and natural lighting, he shoots every film with the aim to find the right visuals for each story.
He worked for brands like Motorola, MTV, AXE, Nestle, ING Bank.
